Publications and Newsletters

The City of Longview produces several publications to inform the public of items related city government and services.
 
The Annual City of Longview Services & Event Calendar is a printed calendar   that has event information from various City of Longview departments. The calendar is distributed by mail to Longview water utility customers. Printed copies are also available at most City of Longview office locations. An online version of the printed calendar may be viewed here. In addition, the City of Longview maintains an online calendar which may be viewed here. 

CityNews is a printed newsletter that is sent to all water utilities customers on a quarterly basis. The newsletter is created by the City Manager's Office. Topics include messages from the Mayor and City Manager, a list of upcoming events, and stories about city programs and services. An electronic archive is available online.

Residents may sign up to receive Email News and Updates from several different City of Longview Departments. Available email updates include news releases, job opportunities, and newsletters from the Longview Public Library, Parks and Recreation, Partners in Prevention and more. In addition, the City of Longview shares information via the social media tools Twitter and Facebook.
The Annual City Budget is prepared by the City Manager’s Office in conjunction with the Finance Department. For several years in a row, the City of Longview Budget Report has been recognized with the Government Financial Officers Association Award of Distinguished Presentation.
The Code of Ordinances for the City of Longview is available online. This resource is a searchable listing of the current ordinances established by the Longview City Council.
The Water Quality Report is produced on an annual basis. The work of purification, distribution, and collection of water resources is one of the primary responsibilities of the City of Longview. This report provides generic and technical information about Longview's water.
The Building and Development Guide is a publication of the Development Services Department. The purpose of the document is to provide developers with a summary of the development process in Longview.
The Clean and Green Guide was a created by the City of Longview and Keep Longview Beautiful. The publication describes available resources for recycling, litter reduction, air care, and more.
